Cinnamon, which is extensively utilized to give different meals a unique flavor, is known as Twak in Sanskrit and Dalchini in Hindi. From the inner bark of the Cinnamomum verum tree, the spice more accurately known as cinnamon is extracted. The scent of this variety of cinnamon is sweet and almost flowery. Ceylon sticks have a light brown color and are made by rolling multiple layers of fine bark from the inside of cinnamon trees. The flavor of ceylon cinnamon is subtle and elegant, complementing both savory and sweet dishes and beverages. Compared to cassia, it is a paler color and consists of multiple thin bark layers as opposed to a single, coiled bark strip. Genuine cinnamon can be processed in a coffee grinder because it’s soft enough.
